1. Payment Processing
Every payment on SKINS24 is handled by our authorised payment partner, which holds PCI DSS Level 1 certification — the highest tier in card-industry security. SKINS24 never sees, stores, or processes your full card credentials.
2. Payment Methods We Accept
The following options are currently supported:
Cards: Visa and Mastercard, both debit and credit. All card payments are protected by 3D Secure (Verified by Visa / Mastercard SecureCode) for an extra layer of verification.
We reserve the right to add or remove payment methods at any time. The available options will always be shown at checkout.
3. Currency
All SKINS24 transactions are priced and settled in Euros. If your card is denominated in another currency, your issuing bank applies its own exchange rate. Any conversion fees are set by your bank and are outside our control.
4. Pricing and Fees
Prices shown on SKINS24 already include our service fee. The figure at checkout is exactly what you pay — there are no hidden surcharges on top.
The service fee covers platform operations, payment processing, API integrations, and support. It is applied consistently across every listing.
5. How a Transaction Flows
When you complete checkout: the payment processor verifies and captures the payment; the item is reserved on BitSkins; a Steam trade offer is generated and sent to your account; and once you accept the trade, the item lands in your inventory and the order is marked fulfilled.
Card payments settle in real time. If authorisation fails, the order does not proceed and no charge is applied. Your bank may temporarily hold funds; holds are released in line with your bank's own rules.
6. Payment Security
Multiple layers protect your payment information. Payment pages are TLS-encrypted. Card transactions are authenticated via 3D Secure for Strong Customer Authentication (SCA) under PSD2. Fraud-monitoring systems score transactions continuously and block unauthorised activity.
You are responsible for keeping your payment methods secure and reviewing your statements. If you spot an unauthorised charge on our platform, contact both your bank and our support team immediately.
7. Failed Payments
If a payment fails, the order is not created and the item stays listed. Common reasons include insufficient funds, incorrect card details, 3D Secure authentication failure, an issuer decline, or a geographic restriction on your card.
You can retry with the same card or a different method. If problems persist, please contact your bank or card issuer.
8. Chargebacks
Please reach out to our support team first — we can usually resolve payment concerns without a chargeback. Chargebacks filed without first contacting us may be contested.
Opening a chargeback places your SKINS24 account on hold while we investigate. Filing a fraudulent chargeback (disputing a charge after receiving the item) breaches our Terms of Service and can result in permanent closure and a referral to the relevant authorities.
9. Tax and VAT
Where applicable, VAT is applied in line with EU rules. Platform prices include any relevant VAT. Need a tax invoice or receipt? Contact support with your order details.
You remain responsible for any tax liabilities arising under the laws of your home country.
10. Transaction Limits
Some transaction limits may apply based on verification status and payment method. These limits help us comply with AML obligations and protect users from fraud. Higher limits may require additional identity verification.
SKINS24 reserves the right to set, adjust, or lift transaction limits at any time, in step with regulatory requirements and internal risk management.
11. Regulatory Compliance
Payment operations at SKINS24 comply with PCI DSS, PSD2 (including Strong Customer Authentication), applicable AML regulations, and GDPR requirements relating to payment data.
