Payment Policy

1. Payment Processor

All payments on SKINS24 are securely processed through EcommPay, an authorised payment institution. EcommPay is PCI DSS Level 1 certified, the highest level of payment security certification. SKINS24 does not store, process, or have access to your full payment card details at any time.

2. Accepted Payment Methods

We accept the following payment methods:

Credit and Debit Cards: Visa and Mastercard. All card transactions are authenticated using 3D Secure (Verified by Visa / Mastercard SecureCode) for your protection.

Digital Wallets: Apple Pay and Google Pay, providing a fast and secure checkout experience.

We may add or remove payment methods at our discretion. Available payment options will always be displayed at checkout.

3. Currency

All transactions on SKINS24 are processed in Euros. If your payment method is denominated in a different currency, your bank or card issuer will apply their standard currency conversion rate. Any conversion fees are determined by your financial institution and are outside our control.

4. Pricing and Fees

Prices displayed on SKINS24 are inclusive of our service markup. The price shown at checkout is the final amount you will be charged. There are no hidden fees, surcharges, or additional charges beyond the displayed price.

Our service markup covers platform operation costs, payment processing, API integration, and customer support. The markup is applied uniformly across all items.

5. Transaction Processing

When you make a purchase, the following process occurs: your payment is authorised and captured by EcommPay; the item is reserved on the BitSkins marketplace; a Steam trade offer is generated and sent to your Steam account; and upon acceptance of the trade offer, the item is delivered to your inventory and the transaction is marked as complete.

Card payments are processed instantly. If payment authorisation fails, the transaction will not proceed and no charge will be applied. In some cases, your bank may place a temporary hold on the funds, which will be released according to your bank's policies.

6. Payment Security

We take payment security seriously and employ multiple layers of protection. All payment pages are secured with TLS encryption. Card transactions use 3D Secure authentication for Strong Customer Authentication (SCA) as required by the EU Payment Services Directive (PSD2). Fraud detection systems monitor transactions in real time to identify and prevent unauthorised activity.

You are responsible for ensuring the security of your payment methods and for reviewing your transaction history regularly. If you suspect unauthorised use of your payment method on our platform, contact both your bank and our support team immediately.

7. Failed Payments

If your payment fails, the order will not be processed and the item will remain available on the marketplace. Common reasons for payment failure include insufficient funds, incorrect card details, 3D Secure authentication failure, card issuer decline, or geographic restrictions applied by your bank.

If your payment is declined, you may attempt the purchase again with the same or a different payment method. If you experience repeated payment issues, we recommend contacting your bank or card issuer.

8. Chargebacks

We strongly encourage you to contact our support team to resolve any payment issues before initiating a chargeback with your bank. Chargebacks that are filed without first attempting to resolve the issue through our support channels may be disputed.

If a chargeback is initiated, your SKINS24 account will be suspended pending investigation. Fraudulent chargebacks, where a user receives the purchased item and then disputes the charge, are a violation of our Terms of Service and may result in permanent account termination and referral to law enforcement.

9. Tax and VAT

VAT is applied in accordance with EU regulations where applicable. Prices displayed on the platform are inclusive of any applicable VAT. Tax invoices or receipts can be provided upon request by contacting our support team with your order details.

You are responsible for any tax obligations arising from your purchases in your jurisdiction of residence.

10. Transaction Limits

Transaction limits may apply based on your account verification level and the payment method used. These limits exist to comply with anti-money laundering regulations and to protect users from fraud. If you require higher transaction limits, additional identity verification may be required.

SKINS24 reserves the right to impose, modify, or remove transaction limits at any time in accordance with regulatory requirements and risk management practices.

11. Regulatory Compliance

Our payment processing complies with PCI DSS security standards, the EU Payment Services Directive (PSD2) including Strong Customer Authentication requirements, applicable anti-money laundering regulations, and GDPR data protection requirements for payment data.
